A catch-all e-mailbox is one that gathers all the email messages sent to non-existent addresses. For example, if your email address is info@domain.com, but someone miswrites it and sends an email to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have configured. Only one single mailbox per domain can have this feature activated and thus you’ll never miss messages because the other side has an obsolete email address or has made a mistake. The negative aspect of setting up a catch-all mailbox is that you may start receiving lots of unsolicited emails, but this issue can be rectified using an anti-spam filtering solution. It is also crucial to remember that a mailbox with an active catch-all functionality cannot forward incoming emails to a 3rd-party email address.

Catch-all Emails in Hosting

In case you have a hosting with us and you wish to enable the catch-all feature for a certain email mailbox that you’ve got in the web hosting account, it will take literally just a single mouse click in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia hosting Control Panel to achieve that. A catch-all button is available to the right of each email address that you have created under any domain registered in the account. You can select one email address per domain name by clicking on the corresponding button. This will enable the feature momentarily, so all emails sent to misspelled email addresses will be re-sent there. Clicking the button once more will disable the catch-all feature. If you have enabled email forwarding, our system will display a warning notice and you won’t be able to enable the catch-all feature unless you delete the forwarding or you can simply pick a different mailbox to be the catch-all one.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

You’ll be able to create a catch-all email address with no more than a click if you’ve got a semi-dedicated server with us and your email messages are handled by our cloud hosting platform. All the email addresses that you set up using any domain name hosted in your semi-dedicated hosting account will be enumerated in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia Control Panel. Each of them will have a mini "Catch-all" icon on its right-hand side, so all it will take to enable the feature will be to click on that icon.
